Coffee in the Time of Covid 19

Being at home with your loved ones, for the next 3 weeks, seems like an ideal time to drink lots of coffee. You’re going to need a lot of energy to control all that screen time. And you’ll need even more energy to play the part of Teacher. (Post Covid Silver Linings: Better health care, higher paid teachers…)

But…life isn’t that simple…

When we opened up, about two years ago (Happy Anniversary!!), we made it a priority to make sure that JJC worked for us, not the other way around. And it’s time for a break. We will be shutting down the shop until we see how this works out. We will probably trickle open towards the end of the month, and we will let you know when.

Our website, that you are currently on, is your gateway to coffee. Everything in-store is available here, and with the added bonus of free delivery, if you are local. If you live in the Sauk Prairie Area (figure, the school district) you can use the coupon code “Local“, it will reduce your coffee to the in-store price and remove the shipping charges. Again, this is if you are in the area. If you use the code and you aren’t local, the shipping method changes to “the river”. As in, I’ll throw your coffee in the river, and see if it gets to you (no, not really).

Currently, we are delivering on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. We are roasting and working Saturday mornings (Playing Pinball and wistfully staring at the coffee shelf), so feel free to stop by and pick up your order between 10-11.

Of course, none of this is ideal (can you even remember last weekend?), but sometimes we are put in position to reset our priorities, unfortunately, right now, we all have to do it at the same time.

Let’s all overreact now, so that we can better our chances for a great summer.
